Attorney General DeWine Releases Foster Care Recommendations


Ohio Right to Life Supports Foster Care Reform Efforts


COLUMBUS, Ohio- Today Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Foster Care Advisory Group released multiple recommendations focusing on efforts to improve Ohio’s foster care children’s safety and well-being. Attorney General DeWine invited Ohio Right to Life to serve as a member of this Advisory Group in order to identify life-affirming solutions regarding child welfare.  

 

Through research collected at various Child Safety Summits and a Foster Youth Symposium, Attorney General DeWine released a detailed Child Safety Summit Report of Findings. Following the release of the Report, the Attorney General formed a Foster Care Advisory Group with the purpose of drafting recommendations to improve the lives of our youth.  

“Our mission is to promote and defend the innocence of human life. Supporting the Attorney General’s foster care reform initiative, is a common sense solution to protecting those most vulnerable,” said President of Ohio Right to Life Mike Gonidakis, “We look forward to lobbying for these reforms side-by-side with Attorney General Mike DeWine.”
