Every Life, Every Story: Un-Replicable

One advantage to driving into Columbus once a week to work at ORTL is that I can spend some time with my family in the city before heading back to the school on the hill. A couple of Fridays ago, I did just that. My mom and I met my maternal grandparents for dinner at Cracker Barrel on what seemed like the first autumn evening of the year. After a couple of mugs of hot chocolate (with whipped cream!) and dinner, of course, my mom and I met my grandparents back at their house. Having been at school for the last three years, I haven’t spent as much time at my grandparents'’ house as I did when I was growing up. That Friday was a nice opportunity to drink in the warmth of their house again.

Abortion and the Reconstruction of the Family Unit

How many hands besides the hand of Nature should enter into the creation of a family? There is the mother and there is the father, and at the end of the day, (at the risk of taking his words out of context and placing them in a broader ideological context once again) Obama shouldn’t be able to knock them down by saying, “You didn’t build that!” and re-attributing the creation of a family to a government that supports eugenics and abortion as part of that creative process.
