Resist Disillusionment - We STILL Have a Good System

I reject needing to “learn a lesson” from this government. I refuse to endure these violations. We might as well learn from the history that we’ve watched unfold. But I wouldn't wish another term of this on anyone. We don’t always have to learn from our mistakes. We need to vote smart the first time– to vote pro-life in every race and on every issue that we can. Responsibility is not all on one branch of the government – it’s on all three: the president, Congress, AND the Supreme Court. So we need to vote for the executive, congress, and our state supreme court - and push our president and senate to create the U.S. Supreme Court that we want. Divided government is meant to give us a number of back-ups, so that when one branch fails us, we can look to another.

“For All” – Not for Individuals

The new fashion trend that I have been seeing creep across campus recently is a medium-sized square button that reads “FOR ALL.” And of course, as an Obama button, the Obama icon holds the place for the O in “FOR.” I am sickened when I consider the lies that this button attempts to mask. Immediately, I envision “ALL” of the innocent lives that this president has indeed not been “FOR.” Next, I reflect on “ALL” of us whose religious liberty – whose conscience rights – have been trampled upon. This man is not “FOR” me. He is not “FOR” you. He is not “FOR ALL.”

Sample Size of One. Women, Ignore the Polls – How will YOU vote?

When I heard about yesterday’s Quinnipiac University/CBS News /New York Times poll giving Obama a 25 point lead among Ohio women, I felt like I was staring a bold lie right in the face. I don’t mean to say that my own personal experience defines the way that Ohio’s women are going to vote this fall, but I do not want anyone to be under the impression that this poll defines the way that they are going to vote either. This election, account for your own experiences and your own knowledge. You are certainly not the only one, but if there is any poll that moves you to vote this November, let the sample size be one – just you.

Government Feigning Benevolence Distributes Plan B in NYC Schools

Just this week, The New York Post reported that NYC schools will now be distributing Plan B to high school girls without parental consent. As the National Association of School Nurses could cite no other school district supplying their girls with Plan B, Post reported that this very well might be a nationwide first.

Why Obama Can’t Talk about Life Deeply

The fact is, Obama’s use of life and death in a talking point is tragic and proves a pitfall. If asked to talk about life and death on a deeper level than “GM is alive, Osama is dead,” he would find himself in a bind, proving to America once again and finally that when it comes to life, Obama really can’t clearly define the value of life and where that value begins objectively.
