Grassroots Internship 

Grassroots interns with Ohio Right to Life (ORTL) will work closely with the Director of External Affairs to assist and develop Right to Life Chapters in numerous counties throughout Ohio. It is our intent to promote and defend a culture of life not just statewide, but also at the local level and within our own communities and neighborhoods. We cannot do this without strong chapters and active community leaders. Ohio Right to Life serves as a valuable resource to these 50+ chapters, keeping them connected to Pro-Life issues across the state and the nation. It is also the hope of ORTL to serve as a resource to the hundreds of life affirming Pregnancy Centers across the state. The noble work of these centers provides young women with care and truth during difficult times of decision.

Interns will have the chance to learn different talking points on life issues and should feel comfortable in sharing ORTL’s mission with a variety of audiences throughout the internship. All applicants must be college students, and those who enjoy communicating with wide varieties of people are encouraged to apply. Interns must provide their own transportation and are encouraged, but not required, to provide their own laptops while working in the office.

Specific opportunities for Grassroots Interns include:

• Helping to connect chapters with local media lists
• Researching and locating pregnancy centers, abortion centers, and adoption centers across the state. 
• Developing interactive tools to help our chapters locate these centers.
• Meeting with chapter and community leaders to help keep their organization, and ours, engaged on life issues in their local areas
• Implementing new branding strategies for chapters across the State, assisting with some graphic design projects
• Researching and developing and assisting with Statewide pro-life events
• Developing a pro-life Church network for the state
