Ohio Right to Life Welcomes New Director of Legislative Affairs


New hire will advance ORTL’s aggressive legislative agenda


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today, Ohio Right to Life announced the hiring of its new Director of Legislative Affairs, Kayla Smith who will be responsible for managing all state and federal legislative advocacy on behalf of the organization.  Further, she will assist with executive agency lobbying as well as assisting with the Ohio Right to Life PAC. 

“Ohio Right to Life is proud to add Kayla to our team and we look forward to having her advocate on behalf of the pro-life movement,” said Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life.  “Kayla Smith brings compassion and enthusiasm to our organization and she will work side-by-side with our pro-life government to ensure that the right to life for all Ohioans is respected and protected.” 
 
Smith, a graduate of The Ohio State University, majored in Political Science and is a Legislative Service Commission Fellow alumnus.  Smith has a variety of experience in the legislature having worked for the offices of State Representatives Bill Johnson, Dorothy Pelanda and State Senator Joe Uecker. In addition, Smith also served as campaign manager to State Representative Christina Hagan in the summer of 2012.
