WASHINGTON, D.C.--Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR 36), 242-184. This legislation would prohibit abortions at the point at which babies can feel pain, no later than 20 weeks gestation. This day marks the second anniversary of the conviction of Kermit Gosnell, the notorious Philadelphia abortionist who was found guilty of murdering three babies by severing their spinal cords following failed abortions.
Ohio Pregnancy Centers Seek State Funding
COLUMBUS, Ohio--Today,Ohio Right to Life hosted its Pro-Life Legislative Day, which featured Secretary of State Jon Husted as the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Representatives from pregnancy centers across Ohio came to Columbus to share their work with their legislators and to advocate for funding for the Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program. Ohio Right to Life successfully advocated for the addition of the program to the State Budget which passed out of the Ohio House in April.

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Today, Ohio Right to Life's premier legislation for 2015 was introduced in the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.B. 117 and S.B. 127) prohibits abortions in Ohio at the point at which pre-born babies can feel pain, which is as early as 20 weeks gestation. The legislation is sponsored by Representatives Kristina Roegner and Bob Cupp and Senators Peggy Lehner and Jay Hottinger. Thirty-three legislators signed on as co-sponsors of the legislation.
New Chapter Takes Roots in Northeast Ohio

Leading the organization as executive director is Rachel Mullen, a northeast Ohio native with a background in campaign management, grassroots organization, and public policy.
