PRO-LIFE NEWS

Are you thinking about starting a chapter? What’s involved?

Leadership

You will need good leaders—people who can organize events, people with knowledge of the community and people who can reach out to the community. Each person has gifts they can share to build a strong chapter. Initially, the chapter should have a leadership team consisting of a president, secretary and treasurer.

Communication

For a chapter to be effective, it is vital that they communicate with the members of their community. The staff of Ohio Right to Life can assist the chapter leadership in sending out a membership letter to help raise funds, as well as drafting a first newsletter for your chapter.

Resources Development

A chapter should impact the community. In order for this to happen, there must be various resources in place. The primary resource is people. All the money in the world will not make a difference if good, informed, skilled people are not directing how it is used.

Once these basic elements are in place, the chapter community will be ready to design a strategy to make their area an abortion-free zone and build a culture in which human dignity is restored and valued. It can happen. It will happen.
