Life and the Future of the Courts

Late Monday night, Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the United State’s Supreme Court by a vote of 52-48. Justice Barrett, who was sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas, is the first mother of school aged children to be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Her confirmation also marks another first: the first time SCOTUS has held a pro-life majority since Roe v. Wade was decided. This is a historic moment! Over the last four years, President Trump has appointed over 200 judges to our nation’s courts, including 3 SCOTUS justices. Now, with Justice Barrett’s confirmation, we are closer than ever before to overturning Roe v. Wade.

This is why we must continue to elect strong pro-life leaders who will uphold the right to life. Here in Ohio, the future of life in our courts is once again at stake. If Ohio voters fail to re-elect Justices Kennedy and French, anti-life activist judges will command the high court. Holding only a one vote majority, the court’s conservative control hangs in the balance. Kennedy and French have both been endorsed by Ohio Right to Life PAC; their opponents have been endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

When you cast your ballot, keep our courts, and the countless unborn lives whose fates are decided by them, in mind. Judges matter and elections have consequences. Please vote pro-life first.
