Annual 24-Hour PRAYER VIGIL, JANUARY 19-20, 2018
Holy Family Church in Stow
Prayer Vigil to mark the 45th anniversary (January 22, 1973) of the Supreme Court decisions legalizing unlimited abortions in our country.
Cosponsored by the Culture of Life Ministry and the Knights of Columbus, we come together in prayer and fasting looking forward to the time when the sanctity of all human life is respected and protected. Vigil opens at 7pm, Friday, January 19 with Mass celebrated by Fr. Kevin Klonowski.
Ms. Christine Ballor, Regional Coordinator for the Silent No More Campaign, will speak. She is a member of Project Rachel in the Diocese of Youngstown, and St. Joseph Parish in Alliance.
Christy had an abortion at the age of 17. Thirty-three years later she came home to the Catholic Church and was led to a healing program. Gradually, God led her to discern a ministry in post-abortion outreach and awareness, giving her the grace to share her testimony.
Her talk will be followed by a Rosary presented by the Knights of Columbus Father Maruskin Council #10936 serving the parishes of St. Mary, Hudson, Mother of Sorrow in Peninsula and Holy Family in Stow. This Holy Family Prayer Program is the 17th Prayer Program sponsored by the Knights in North America since 1979. These programs have encompassed over 17 million people participating in some 147,000 prayer services.
At the conclusion, the 4th Degree Knights of the Victor J Paul Assembly will process the image of the Holy Family to the Daily Mass Chapel, where a pro-life rosary will be prayed continuously until the Program concludes with the regular 5 pm Mass on Saturday, January 20. You may sign up for an hour of prayer throughout the night and Saturday on a list outside the Adoration Chapel door. Please join us!
