COLUMBUS, Ohio–Today, the United States Supreme Court announced a 5-4 decision in favor of pro-life pregnancy resource centers in the case NIFLA v. Becerra. This case is based on the California “Reproductive FACT Act” that required pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise where women could receive low-cost abortions.

The following statement can be attributed to Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life:

The Supreme Court got it right today. Pro-life pregnancy centers deserve the same free speech rights as any other organization. The narrow 5-4 margins remind us that there is a minority of people in this country who would very much like to restrict the speech of people they disagree with. Today’s decision is a huge win for free speech and the pro-life movement!

Founded in 1967, Ohio Right to Life, with more than 45 chapters and local affiliates, is Ohio’s oldest and largest grassroots pro-life organization. Recognized as the flagship of the pro-life movement in Ohio, ORTL works through legislation and education to promote and defend innocent human life from conception to natural death.
