COLUMBUS, Ohio– Today, Ohio Right to Life announced that Jessica Warner, director of legislative affairs at Ohio Right to Life, has accepted a new position at Heartbeat International. Warner, who has advocated for many of Ohio’s pro-life laws, will mark her last day with Ohio Right to Life on Friday, April 23. Warner has been Ohio Right to Life’s director of legislative affairs since 2016.

“It’s been an honor to spend the last 5 years advocating for Ohio’s most vulnerable,” said Jessica Warner. “The work we have accomplished will always be close to my heart and I know Ohio Right to Life will continue to tirelessly work towards ending abortion in our state. Our board, staff, chapters and grassroots leaders across Ohio are a testament to Pro-Life Ohio’s commitment to supporting women in crisis and protecting innocent babies. I am so proud to have been a part of the pro-life movement through Ohio Right to Life’s work and am now excited to take that same passion for life to Heartbeat International.”

Under Warner’s leadership, Ohio Right to Life successfully advocated for the Telemedicine Abortion Ban, the Unborn Child Dignity Act, and Ohio’s Down Syndrome Non-Discrimination Act. With a focus on strategic pro-life policy, Warner spearheaded several Pro-Life Legislative Action Days and successfully advocated for Ohio’s Parenting and Pregnancy Program which provides funding for critical support and care for women and babies.

“Jessica’s impact on Ohio’s pro-life movement cannot be overstated,” said Mike Gonidakis, president of Ohio Right to Life. “Her intelligent and women-focused advocacy has broken down barriers and propelled Ohio’s pro-life movement forward over the last 5 years. Jessica’s legacy is already evident in Ohio’s groundbreaking protections for the unborn, and in the real lives that have been saved and will continue to be saved in years to come because of her compassionate advocacy.”

Ohio Right to Life wishes Jessica all the best as she continues to use her gift for advocacy and love for life to empower women and save lives with Heartbeat International.
