On January 22, 2017, our country will mark 44 years since the U.S. Supreme Court issued Roe v. Wade. But to the ire of abortion advocates nationwide, the glory days of Roe are in great peril. 

Just two weeks ago, pro-life Governor John Kasich signed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, prohibiting abortion when babies can feel pain, or at 20 weeks gestation. Now, left-wing media outlets are running scared of Ohio Right to Life's legislative strategy to reverse Roe v. Wade and end abortion.

By now you know that earlier this week, Governor Kasich made a momentous decision on two pieces of pro-life legislation. He signed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, while vetoing the Heartbeat Bill.

As the internet descends into name-calling and tragic ad-hominems, we wanted to share with you some thoughts that might raise the level of conversation for the pro-life movement.

Yesterday, the Columbus Dispatch ran an eye-opening front-page story that could have broader political ramifications for the right to life here in Ohio.  The story is a personal one that focuses on a little girl's fight for life in the NICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. 

Last Tuesday was big.

Pro-life America won the White House and held onto Congress. Pro-life Ohio not only maintained super majorities in the Ohio House and Senate, we also picked up a seat in each chamber. Furthermore, 90 percent of Ohio Right to Life PAC-supported candidates WON election!

By now you've probably seen a number of heated Facebook debates in which abortion advocates heatedly tell you that, no, late-term abortions don't really happen and partial-birth abortions don't exist. This is all because during last week's Presidential debate, Donald Trump exposed Hillary Clinton's radical position on late-term and partial-birth abortion, using visceral language to describe the tragedy of killing a human child late in pregnancy. 

The 2016 Democratic Party platform calls for taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand, including a repeal of the Hyde Amendment, the often-cited federal provision that prevents some federal taxpayer dollars from paying for abortions. The platform also states the Democratic Party will “stand up for Planned Parenthood,” which killed more than 325,000 unborn human beings in 2013 and does trafficking in body parts of aborted babies.
