Tomorrow night, Planned Parenthood will feature radical pro-abortion icon Gloria Steinem as its speaker at its fundraising gala in Columbus.
Top tickets to the abortion corporation’s fundraiser are going for a whopping $50,000, reminding taxpayers that corporate abortion can do just fine without forcing us to fund them.
After hailing their 100th anniversary last year, Planned Parenthood is now looking ahead to another century of de-humanization. The theme for the night is “United for our Second Century.”
From its eugenic founding in 1916 to its sale of aborted babies’ body parts in 2015, Planned Parenthood has already spent a whole century violating the rights and dignity of the human person on a global scale. Now, they’re promising more. Each year alone, Planned Parenthood aborts over 300,000 children (about a third of the country’s abortions), all while consuming over half a BILLION taxpayer dollars—about 42 percent of its revenue.
Significant steps have already been taken to de-fund Planned Parenthood in 2017, starting with President Trump’s executive order to cut funding to the International Planned Parenthood Federation. Today, the President expanded that order to an even larger pool of money, to include $8.8 billion in foreign aid that will be restricted from organizations that perform or promote abortions. Just last month, he signed legislation overturning Obama’s mandate that states fund Planned Parenthood, and recently, the U.S. House passed the American Health Care Act, which includes a provision to significantly de-fund Planned Parenthood!
If Planned Parenthood is united for their second century, the pro-life American people are united in making sure they don’t have one.
