COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Today, Ohio Right to Life joined pro-life State Treasurer Robert Sprague as he announced his Family Forward initiative. This legislation, sponsored by Representative Jon Cross, would make low-interest loans available to adoptive families to help alleviate the costs associated with adoption.
The following statement may be attributed to Mike Gonadakis, President of Ohio Right to Life:
“Ohio Right to Life is excited to partner with State Treasurer Sprague and Representative Cross on the creation of Family Forward, a pro-family initiative brought forward by two great pro-life officeholders. This innovative legislation breaks down arguably the largest barrier to adoption for Ohio families – cost. This new program will open doors to ensure that adoptions are more affordable and accessible for all Ohioans.”
“As November is National Adoption Awareness Month, we are proud to support a bill that will help in growing more Ohio families through the beautiful process of adoption."
