Pro-life Legislators from Ohio Lead Charge to Protect Unborn

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR 36), 242-184. This legislation would prohibit abortions at the point at which babies can feel pain, no later than 20 weeks gestation. This day marks the second anniversary of the conviction of Kermit Gosnell, the notorious Philadelphia abortionist who was found guilty of murdering three babies by severing their spinal cords following failed abortions. 

The following statement is a response to Congressman Tim Ryan's switch from "pro-life" to "pro-choice" and can be attributed to Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life.

Last week garnered both setbacks and gains for the pro-life movement in Washington, D.C. First and foremost, we have to express our gratitude toward Senator Rob Portman, Congressman Jim Jordan, and their staffs, for the tremendous hospitality that they showed to Ohio marchers during such an eventful week. While we are disappointed at the fallout over the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, we want to update you on some positive pro-life activity in our nation's capital.
