Tell Congress to De-fund Planned Parenthood

I stand with Ohio Right to Life in calling for the immediate de-funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion outlet.

According to Planned Parenthood's own annual report, taxpayer funding accounts for 43% of Planned Parenthood’s overall revenue--over half a billion taxpayer dollars. Annually, Planned Parenthood performs over 300,000 abortions. Furthermore, 94 percent of pregnant women who walk into a Planned Parenthood end up having an abortion. In 2015, a series of undercover videos exposed Planned Parenthood's top officials callously discussing the harvesting and trade of aborted babies' body parts.

There are approximately 20 times more community health centers (13,540) nationwide than there are Planned Parenthood centers (about 700). Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) alone served 24.3 million individuals last year. That's nearly 10 times more individuals than were served by Planned Parenthood (2.5 million).

I respectfully urge Congress to de-fund Planned Parenthood to protect the conscience rights of taxpayers and the lives of the innocent.

No one should be forced to support an organization that they feel is basically immoral. Taking the lives of innocent soon-to-be-born children (who feel intense pain as they are being dismembered), for the sake of making money, should not be treated so lightly. These poor young vulnerable girls do not understand what they are doing in most instances. They are told it is just a blob of tissue. But some day, perhaps years later, when they realize they painfully murdered their own child, they frequently are filled with intense remorse ( especially when they see photos of a young fetus -with arms and legs and facial features). Is the abortionist there to help them through their pain? At the very least, before going through this procedure (in my opinion, very barbaric torturous murder of their child), they should be compelled to speak to a professional who will show them photos of what this ‘blob’ looks like and help them with other alternatives.

Abortion directly violates the most fundamental principles of the Natural Moral Law enshrined in the Fifth Commandment of the Law of Moses: “Thou shall not Kill.” Abortion is murder because it constitutes the deliberate taking of defenseless human life. Abortion-on-demand is a daily atrocity in the United States of America since the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v Wade (1973), a veritable Holocaust in the Womb and Slaughter of the Innocents. All Americans of good will and genuine faith, who believe that the gift of life is an inalienable right given to us by our Creator and not by our Government, should vehemently oppose Abortion as an objectively and inherently evil act. They should likewise oppose the funding of abortion through Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood not only performs abortions for profit; they also, as numerous videos attest, engage in the inhumane and grotesque practice of selling the body parts of aborted babies. Without the right to life, there are no other rights. We must be a voice for the voiceless, fighting to secure the inviolable right to life of unborn (preborn) baby human persons from the moment of conception to natural death. Abortion is the principal human rights issue of the 21st century. No country that calls itself civilized should be involved in this vile practice, let alone fund it with tax- payer money.
